L'actrice Mena Suvari, connue entre autres pour son rôle dans le film culte "American Pie", veut mettre fin à son mariage avec Simone Sestito, son mari depuis presque deux ans.
Selon TMZ, la jeune femme âgée de 32 ans a en effet déposé une demande de divorce à la Cour Supérieure de Los Angeles aujourd’hui. Dans les documents qui font part de leur rupture survenue le 1er novembre 2011, Mena invoque des "différends irréconciliables" comme la cause de leur séparation et demande au juge d’empêcher Simone de recevoir une pension alimentaire. La star veut également changer son nom aujourd’hui Mena Suvari-Sestito et reprendre son ancien nom, Mena Suvari.
Mena a épousé l’organisateur de concert italo-canadien âgé de 25 ans en juin 2010 lors d’une cérémonie privée dans la capitale romantique de Rome. L’été dernier encore, l'actrice s'était épanchée sur son bonheur en tant que femme mariée.
"C’est merveilleux," avait-t-elle confié avec enthousiasme au magazine britannique "OK!". "Nous venons de célébrer notre premier anniversaire de mariage. Je travaillais ici [à Atlanta] pour le film American Reunion alors Simone est venu me rendre visite. On voulait retourner à Rome où l’on s’est mariés mais nous y retournerons à nouveau."
